HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU THINK IT TAKES TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE?
I believe that in under an hour everyday, you can set yourself up for massive improvements to your life. What can be done in an hour?
Build confidence, reinforce discipline, focus your efforts, and BUILD MOMENTUM. This can all be done in an hour each day.
There is a reason you see high performers in any field utilize these hours before the world is awake. When you get up and meet the day by taking care of you first, you set the tone. You’re ready for life’s challenges. Your brain and body are already running at full speed.
Think about this as a critical step like “PUT YOUR F*CKING OXYGEN MASK ON BEFORE YOU HELP ANYONE ELSE.” Most days, you’re stuck pouring from what feels like an empty cup. More sleep and laziness will not fix this. Want proof?
You’re reading this because whatever you’re currently doing ISN'T GETTING YOU TOWARD BEING THE MOST BADASS, CONFIDENT, and FOCUSED version of you.
I promise that in one hour a day, I can get you exponentially closer to being that person.
HERE IS HOW.
GET THE FUCK UP
Wake up an hour early. If you can’t do this. Take a second and realize you’re fucking lying to yourself. Stop.
DONT SNOOZE
This already sets you up as a liar to your former self. Be committed to you.
GO MOVE
Do something physical with intention. I don’t give a fuck what you do but there has to be something to move and wake up.
Walk, yoga, run, lift, or cycle the details of what you do isn’t as important as you’re showing up every day for you.
Give this 30 minutes minimum. Just move. Don’t focus on speed, distance, or any other metric than to show up and move. BE CONSISTENT BEFORE YOU UP THE INTENSITY.
If you lose sight of that consistency part of the equation, YOU WILL FAIL. Then you’ll spend time saying why morning routines didn’t help.
NO SHIT, you’re choosing to be a lump of shit instead. Choose different from here on out. Today is an invitation to change your life.
JOURNAL OR LISTEN TO AN AUDIO BOOK
Stay off your phone during this time. Play an audio book that will help you think of new ideas. START WITH THE 4 Agreements if you’re lost on what to listen to.
Take time to answer these questions.
What do we want our lives to look like in 5 years?
What do I want to feel different about myself in a year?
What can I do today to get closer to those things?
Answer these three things every morning. Dig in and write about it. Put your dreams on paper and be accountable to these goals.
COLD SHOWER
This is a moment to reset after the effort of the morning. This will create a hard stop in your head that knows now the time to start your day.
During this shower work on getting your breathing under control. Big deep breaths. You are in control. Find it.
Repeat to yourself “ONLY I CAN BUILD MY DREAMS”
If you don’t have a personal mantra then repeat mine. I yell this during my morning routine. I want every cell of my body to know what the plan is.
THANK YOURSELF FOR SHOWING UP
We have a tough time seeing positives more than negative things. We will be our worst critics. No one will have a higher judgment of myself than me.
The other side of that coin is true. I am also going to be my biggest CHEERLEADER. I want to win. I don’t need help. I AM ENOUGH TO FIGURE IT OUT.
Take this time to positively reinforce what you’re doing. Finish with “SEE YOU TOMORROW.”
